3 Fall Home Essentials

You know how your house has a “season?” At Pryde’s, we delve into all the seasons, but our store truly shines in the fall. The glow of our well-loved wooden floors, the warm patina of French copper, the aromas of pies baking downstairs and the comfort of a hot cup of coffee or tea elevate the senses this time of year.

This is when I bring out my Le Creuset Signature Round French Oven. It’s my go-to piece of cookware that gets put to use almost daily in autumn because of its versatility. I have literally cooked a thousand dishes in this functional beauty including spaghetti, soups, vegetables and roasted chicken. It’s easy to clean, and brings a splash of color to the kitchen. It is a smart investment because it lasts for decades. I am still cooking with one of my Mother’s Dutch ovens that is more than 45 years old!

I love to usher in fall with my Spode accessories. Spode’s Woodland China is all about time-honored tradition with its illustrations of wildlife bordered by brown flowers. This classic dinnerware is a staple for this time of year as well as a favorite on wedding and gift registries.     

A favorite piece is the turkey platter, not just for Thanksgiving, but for serving roasted vegetables or to display treasures.

The warm, rich patina of copper is a fall staple. Copper Mule Mugs are known for their healthful properties and they do a wonderful job of keeping cocktails chilled. They’re also perfect for serving sodas and ales, especially pumpkin beer!
